FAQ

Q. How does Disco work?

You must have Spotify installed

Download and install the Disco app from the App Store or the Play Store.

From the Friends tab follow other users.

Use the Invite feature at the top of the Friends tab to invite people who you’d like to follow on Disco.

Tracks played by the people you are following will show in chronological order in the Timeline tab.

To play a track just press the play icon on any track. This track will then show in the play bar at the top of the Timeline and will start playing. when that track finishes the track below it in the timeline will start playing. Alternatively you can press the next icon in the play bar and it will skip to the next track in the Timeline.

Q. Can I select a different device to play music through like I do with Spotify (Spotify Connect)?

A. Yes you can. Right now you need to do that by switching to the Spotify app and choosing the device you want to use, then when you switch back to Disco it will play via that device. In future we will add a feature to be able to select a device from within Disco.

Q. What is the difference between Snips and Tracks?

Snips are 30 second snippets of the best part of a song. If you want to scan through a lot of tracks and quite quickly get an idea of whether you like it or not then selecting snips is a good way to do it.

Tracks are the full song. Tracks are only available to Spotify Premium users.

Q. Can I save a track from Disco in a Spotify Playlist?

A. Yes! If you ‘like’ a track by swiping right on it then it will also add the track to a Playlist in Spotify called ‘Disco Liked Tracks’.

Q. How do I follow another Disco user?

A. Switch to the ‘Friends’ tab and click Follow next to the person you want to follow.

Q. Can I follow anyone I want to or do they have to accept my follow request?

A. You can follow anyone - there is no request process.
